Last week we went to our ward's Christmas party! I was part of the committee this year and during one meeting someone suggested a Polar Express theme for the party, so all of the kids wore their pajamas. It was amazing. The food was delicious - Turkey, Ham, Texas Roadhouse Rolls, Potato and vegetable dishes, and cookies. It was perfectly decorated and there was a lot of work that went into it!. My favorite part (besides the food) was when Santa showed up with a triumphant entrance to take pictures with the kids. When we were in line, I couldn't stop laughing because a couple of kids in front of us were arguing back and forth saying "This Santa is a Fraud, it is Brother so-and-so." And the little girl replied, "No, this is the real Santa!" It was fun to see how excited they were! :)
Benji was smiling and laughing while we were in line, but when it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap his burst out in tears and started screaming. Hahaha it was very funny.
The Christmas party was wonderful and got us in the Christmas spirit, which is why tonight we decided to go to downtown Glendale to look at the lights that they have there for our Family Home Evening. We had a lot of fun! Believe it or not, It was really cold here in Arizona, so after we got home we had to make some big cups of hot chocolate. :)
Christmas is almost here!
