20.8 pounds = 25%
28.5 inches = 25%
Even though we thought his percentages would be a little higher, the important thing is that he is healthy and we are very grateful because in 12 months he has only really gotten sick with a cold once, and that was around Christmas time in Colorado, but it wasn't anything serious. And even though he did have an allergy to milk protein, it luckily didn't last very long. So we can say that we have a healthy little boy!
This wild little boy uses size 4 diapers, his clothes size is 12-18 months, his shoe size is 3, and starting today the doctor said that he can eat pretty much anything. Today we started him off with whole milk and it seems like he loves it. But the problem might be how we can get him to stop using his bottle. He was a good little boy the first few months (4 months) when mom decided to take away his Binky so he wouldn't wake up in the night when it fell out of his mouth. But since he has been using the bottle for so much longer, I think it is going to be more of a challenge.
A few things that Benji has learned are to show us what a doggy does when we ask him by sticking out his tongue. If we ask him how does daddy eat, he opens and closes his mouth really big. If we tell him to give us something, he will bring whatever he has and put it in our hand, and if he can't find your hand, he will look for it until he can give you what you are asking for. If we ask him where mommy and daddy are in a picture he will point to us. His favorite program is blues clues and sesame street and he loves to sit down on the couch and drink milk so he can get comfy while watching. He can say bye bye with his hand, and a couple of weeks ago he started to take his first steps with out help. He has been taking more and getting better at it, but he still gets scared after a few steps, but soon he will be an expert.
I want to mention how blessed we are to have a little boy with such good manners. Even though at home he is a little wild and is always taking things out of where they go and turning the house upside down, he knows how to behave himself when he is around other people. If someone he doesn't know asks to hold him, he will go with them without complaining, but he may not smile at first. But if you talk to him when he is with mommy, he will give you a big smile. We can go pretty much anywhere with Benji, whether it is nap time or not, because he will just fall asleep in mom or dad's arms. And if we are at home and we leave him in his crib alone for a little while, he chats a little bit and then falls asleep. We are proud and happy to have a little boy who everyone tells us how cute he is every where we go. Today wasn't an exception.
We love you Benji!

This was a fun post to read! It sounds like he is getting the cutest little personality =) You guys are doing so great with him. I love how he opens his mouth really wide and closes it when you ask him how daddy eats. That is so funny!
What a big boy! I wish I could be there to see him do his dog and daddy impressions. :) He looks so big! Does he drink out of sippy cups yet? Maybe try giving him his milk in that instead of a bottle if you haven't already done that? What a cutie!
